A French writer, designer, playwright, artist and filmmaker, Jean Cocteau is famous for his films, his collaboration with the Ballets Russes, the musical avant-garde, his plays and his long-lasting relationship with actor Jean Marais. The remarkable constellation of associates and friends of this amazing magician included Apollinaire, Colette, Raymond Radiguet, Gertrude Stein, Jean Genet, Picasso, Modigliani, Marlene Dietrich, Coco Chanel, Erik Satie, Igor Stravinsky, Yul Brynner and Édith Piaf.
