This lecture will cover Rodin’s relationship with Camille Claudel. As Rodin’s pupil, model, assistant, and lover, Camille changed Rodin’s direction as an artist. His works would ultimately have a profound effect on many 20th century artists. This talk will also unveil what Camille Claudel encountered as a female artist in the 19th Century and how she struggled to represent her art and spirit.
